Hydrochlorothiazide is a medical product having the expressed diuretic and hypotensive pharmacological action. The active ingredients affecting the distal tubules reduce the excretion of ions of calcium, and this prevents the formation of stones in the kidneys.

Moreover this drug is able to reduce the intraocular pressure during the closed angle glaucoma in some cases.
